Opal cards are smartcard tickets that you keep, reload and reuse to pay for travel on the greater Sydney public transport system (buses, trains, ferries, light rail) across the greater Sydney. Greenwich Inn strongly recommend that a reloadable Opal Card is obtained for the most economical and easiest usage of the public transport system. The Opal readers also accept major credit cards including Visa and Mastercard. Opal cards are available online and via many newsagents, convenience stores and more.
